2 point at the end

Looking in hind sight, would it have been better to not get the 2 point at the end? We don't get it we are up by 4. State scores the TD, in that case they would go for two to go up by 4 themselves. Assuming they get it, we are forced to get a TD at the end ourselves, and not settle for the FG. I trust BA recently more to get the TD than I do our FG unit, even before the other night.
