Sources: Marion stars 2019 Tim Ceaser & 2020 Detrick Reeves, Jr., to visit Arkansas

LITTLE ROCK — Per sources, two Marion stars who led the Patriots to the 2019 5A state title — 2019 Tim Ceaser and 2020 Detrick Reeves, Jr. — will take unofficial visits to Arkansas and could arrive in Fayetteville as early as Thursday night.

Ceaser (6-9 forward / center) played for Southwest Christian Academy in Little Rock in 2017-18 before transferring back to his hometown of Marion for his senior season. Ceaser suffered a knee injury in the spring of 2018 that effectively shutdown his grassroots season (spring/summer of 2018) with the 17U Joe Johnson Hawks. Prior to the injury, multiple high-major programs were showing interest in Ceaser, including Arkansas, Missouri, Kansas State, Auburn, and others.

After bouncing back from injury to have a productive ’18-19 campaign at Marion, Ceaser’s recruitment picked up again as he earned an offer from St. Louis with Auburn and other high-major programs renewing their interest.

When fully healthy, Ceaser is a volume rebounder, a good rim-protector, and an opportunisitic finisher around the basket who can also step out and knock down a mid-range shot.

Reeves (6-3 combo guard) was one of the top scorers on the Under Armour Circuit with 16U Team South 16U in 2018, and this spring/summer with 17U Team Thad he’s been productive once again. A 35-point outburst in a win over eventual 6A state runnerup Bryant and its loaded backcourt was the first big statement that Reeves made in the ’18-19 high school season.

Reeves holds offers from Arkansas State, Fresno State, and Southern Miss, and he’s drawn interest from Arkansas, Auburn, Virginia Tech, and Clemson. He recently took part in the invitation-only Under Armour Association The Workout as well as Memphis elite camp.

Reeves is strong, athletic, and has a variety of ball skills that allow him to finish at all three levels, plus he is a good defender.
