Arkansas Adding Commitments at Fast Pace

By Otis Kirk

Arkansas has added commitments from Carthage (Texas) four-star offensive lineman Ty’kieast Crawford and Crockett (Texas) three-star tight end Allen Horace.

Crawford, 6-6, 315, who actually committed on March 9 while at the Elite Prospect Day at Arkansas, went went public with his decision on Sunday.

“I did commit,” Crawford said on March 9. “But I am not putting out there yet. After football season. Once our football season is over with.”

However that all changed on Sunday when Crawford announced his commitment on Twitter.

Crawford chose the Razorbacks over a long list of other schools. He was recruited by Dustin Fry and Jeff Traylor.

Arkansas also picked up Horace on Sunday. The Hogs are hoping to sign two tight ends in the Class of 2020 and Horace was a priority. He talked about why he committed.

“”The coaches,” Horace said. “Big fan of Jerry Jones. I’m a Cowboys fan, heavy. We’re all Cowboys fans. I usually have a star in my pocket.”

As a junior, Horace caught 29 passes for 468 yards and nine touchdowns. He offers the Hogs a weapon at tight end.

“”My strengths are catching the ball and getting open,” Horace said. “Something I need to work on is my blocking. I wasn’t a blocker, more of a receiver.”

Horace chose Arkansas over Texas Tech, Houston, Nebraska and Baylor.
