Lufkin (Texas) wide receiver Ja’Lynn Polk has completed his official visit to Arkansas.
Following the visit, Polk talked about how it went.
“It was real good,” Polk said. “I enjoyed it. I enjoyed Coach (Justin) Stepp , Coach (Jeff) Traylor and Coach (Chad) Morris. It was amazing.”
What was the favorite part of the visit?
“Being at Coach Morris’ house, enjoying the time and all being together,” Polk said. “Him treating us like we were family.”
Polk was at Arkansas on March 9 at the Elite Prospect Day. What continues to impress you about Arkansas?
“The people and the coaches,” Polk said.” Like I said, they make us feel like we are home. That is the best part about it.”
You were at the spring game, what were your impressions of that?
“It was real nice,” Polk said. “I see a lot of stuff they have improved on and I feel like I can be a part of that.”
Do you have a timetable for a decision?
“I am going to take it slow,” Polk said.
This is the first official visit, do you have any others planned at this time?
“No,” Polk said. “I am just working it out now. I am going to see. Before (the season) for sure.”
Do you have a timetable for your decision?
“We are going to see,” Polk said. “We don’t know yet. We are going to see.”
What’s left for you to figure out right now?
“Like I said, I am just taking it slowly,” Polk said. “We are going to see how it is.”
If you did choose Arkansas, what would be some of the reasons?
“The fans, the community, the population, they all come together,” Polk said. “They are like a team really, all one.”
While Polk likes Arkansas, his parents like it as well.
“They love it more than me,” Polk said. “For real.”
His player host was wide receiver Mike Woods.
