By Otis Kirk

Arkansas coach Chad Morris has placed a heavy emphasis on recruiting Oklahoma and particularly the Tulsa area.

Tulsa Edison Class of 2020 running back Sevion Morrison, 5-11, 187, was offered by UCF on Monday. He announced the offer on Twitter.

Morrison now holds offers from Arkansas, Nebraska, Missouri, Mississippi State, Iowa State and Nevada. The Hogs offered on Nov. 10. His first offer came from Nebraska on Oct. 26.

As a junior, Morrison rushed 229 times for 2,731 yards and 35 touchdowns. He now has 3,752 career rushing yards and will need only 258 next year to break Spencer Tillman’s career school record of 4,009, set in 1979-81. Tillman went on to play at Oklahoma.

In addition to Morrison, Arkansas also made the cut for Memphis (Tenn.) University 2020 offensive lineman Marcus Henderson. He tweeted out his Top 12 on Monday.

Henderson, 6-4, 315, listed nine SEC schools among his picks. Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Tennessee join Ohio State, Oklahoma and Penn State in the group.

Morris has also made the Memphis area a priority for the Hogs.

Morrilton 2020 quarterback Jacolby Criswell, 6-1, 208, is also close to releasing his top schools. On Sunday he tweeted out he was getting ready to release a Top 7 soon.

Colorado is his latest offer on Dec. 26. They joined Arkansas, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Georgia, Oklahoma State, NC State, UCA, Arkansas State, South Alabama, Memphis and Seton Hill as offers.

As a junior, Criswell completed 89 of 157 passes for 1,350 yards, 14 touchdowns and four interceptions. He rushed 72 times for 392 yards and four touchdowns.
