Arkansas lands Another Four-Star Defensive End for 2019

By Otis Kirk

Ellenwood (Ga.) Cedar Grove defensive end Dante Walker has committed to Arkansas following a weekend visit to Fayetteville.

He announced the decision Sunday night on Twitter. Since you committed, the visit went well?

“It was fun,” Walker said. “I like it. It’s home feeling. Last night at dinner I just felt like one of the family members. I found what I was looking for to be honest.”

What was the highlight of the trip?

“The game, just seeing Arkansas fight and being explosive against Alabama,” Walker said. “I really liked it.”

Arkansas defensive lineman T.J. Smith, who is also from Georgia, was his player host. What did he tell you about the Hogs?

“He said I’m going to love it,” Walker said. “He had a great freshman and sophomore year. He said what you see is what you get.”

Walker, who was recruited by John Scott, chose the Hogs over Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina and others.

Arkansas now has 21 commitments for the Class of 2019.
