It’s possible a couple more official visitors are going to be coming, but at this time it’s known nine are tentatively slated to be in Fayetteville. The group includes a running back, an offensive lineman, five defensive linemen and a pair of defensive backs.
The uncommitted visitors are Ellenwood (Ga.) Cedar Grove defensive end Dante Walker (6-3, 232), Saddleback College offensive tackle Tim Anderson (6-5, 280) and Mansfield (Texas) Legacy pair of defensive lineman Taurean Carter (6-3, 263) and safety Jalen Catalon (5-10, 175).
The committed visitors are Mansfield Legacy defensive tackle Enoch Jackson (6-1, 270), Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy defensive end Eric Gregory (6-4, 270), Joe T. Robinson defensive end Zach Williams (6-4, 235), Phenix City (Ala.) Central running back A’Montae Spivey (6-1, 185) and Murfreesboro (Tenn.) Blackman defensive back Adonis Otey (6-1, 180).
Arkansas, LSU, Tennessee and South Carolina are among the schools in pursuit of Walker. John Scott is the lead recruiter for the Hogs. He has helped his high school team to a 5-1 record so far.
Anderson is looking hard at the Hogs and Louisville. He has already been to Louisville. The Hogs are searching for some offensive tackles in this class and Anderson is high on that wish list. Saddleback is currently 2-3 on the season and has a bye this week. Dustin Frye is his recruiter.
Carter and Catalon are both being heavily recruited. Texas joins the Hogs for both of them. Carter is also looking at Texas Tech, Michigan State and Wisconsin. Catalon has TCU and Oklahoma on his list along with the Hogs and Horns. He was at Oklahoma last weekend. Carter also attended the North Texas game at Arkansas. Carter told Hogville.net on Aug. 6 that he planned to make his decision on Oct. 24.
Carter currently has 17 tackles, six solo, three tackles for loss and a sack. Catalon was injured in the season opener against Jenks (Okla.). In that game, he completed 5 of 8 passes for 70 yards and one interception while also rushing three times for 22 yards and a touchdown. Jackson has 14 tackles, 10 solo, and two tackles for loss. Legacy is 2-3 as they have battled injuries this season. Mark Smith is the lead recruiter for the prospects at Mansfield Legacy.
Otey plays both ways for a 6-1 Blackman squad. On offense, he has completed 5 of 9 passes for 30 yards and one interception, rushed 35 times for 354 yards and four touchdowns and caught four passes for 189 yards and three touchdowns. He has four tackles, three solo, and an interception on defense. Smith is his lead recruiter.
Spivey has helped Central get out to a perfect 6-0 record. He has rushed 62 times for 556 yards and 12 touchdowns while catching six passes for 57 yards. He has returned two kickoffs for 98 yards. Joe Craddock is his lead recruiter with help from Jeff Traylor.
Williams and the Senators have won five games in a row since losing the season opener. Williams has 38 tackles, 21 unassisted, nine tackles for loss, five sacks, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. Barry Lunney Jr. is his lead recruiter.
IMG Academy is 4-1 this season. Gregory has 10 tackles, six solo, 0.5 tackle for loss and a quarterback hurry. He is one of two players from his school committed to the Hogs. Wide receiver Shamar Nash is also a commitment. Nash is slated to be at Arkansas this weekend on unofficial visit.
