Arkansas places Pair of Defenders on PFF’s All-SEC Team this Week

Pro Football Focus has released its All-SEC Team of the Week following the games on Sept. 8. 

Arkansas has placed two defensive linemen on the squad. Defensive end McTelvin Agim and tackle Armon Watts both were named to the unit. Watts graded out at 92.6 with the only defensive player with a better mark was Auburn safety Jamien Sherwood. The Auburn safety had a grade of 93. Auburn offensive tackle Prince Tega Wanogho also graded at 93 as they were the only two players with a better grade than Watts. Agim graded out at 84.2.

Watts and Agim were the two defensive players Chad Morris recognized for their play against the Rams on Saturday night. 

“Defensively, the players of the game were Sosa and Armon Watts,” Morris said. “Both of these guys are playing extremely well and being very disruptive.”

Against Colorado State, Watts had five tackles, a sack, 1.5 tackles for loss, a forced fumble and one quarterback hurry. Agim added four tackles, one tackle for loss, two forced fumbles, a recovered fumble and a pair of quarterback hurries. 

No Arkansas players were named to the offensive squad chosen by PFF.
