Arkansas’ left tackle Colton Jackson practiced on Tuesday without a green protective jersey.
Jackson had back surgery in the summer and has yet to play, but could see his first action on Saturday against North Texas at Reynolds Razorback Stadium. Jackson, a junior, has started 13 games at Arkansas including 10 as a sophomore.
Senior defensive end Randy Ramsey practiced with a green protective jersey on Tuesday. Senior linebacker Dre Greenlaw wasn’t spotted at practice during the four open periods.
Ty Storey, Cole Kelley, Connor Noland, Daulton Hyatt and John Stephen Jones were all seen getting reps at quarterback.
Arkansas (1-1) will host North Texas (2-0) on Saturday at 3 p.m. and televised on the SEC Alternate Network. The Hogs defeated Eastern Illinois 55-20 on Saturday, Sept. 1, in Razorback Stadium before losing to Colorado State 34-27 in Fort Collins this past weekend. North Texas defeated SMU 46-23 in the season opener and then blasted Incarnate Word 58-16 this past Saturday.
North Texas quarterback Mason Fine has completed 65 of 90 passes for 862 yards and seven touchdowns with one interception while being sacked twice. Rico Bussey Jr. has caught 17 passes for 237 and three touchdowns while Jalen Guyton has grabbed 12 passes for 206 yards and three scores.
