With around one minute left in the game, everyone in the stadium knew that Tennessee was going to do an onside kick. Everyone, that is, except our players. They lined up in a normal kickoff formation while Tennessee lined up in onside kick fomation. Result: easy onside kick for Tennessee.

What the hell are these guys (coaches) thinking??!! It didn't matter in this game, but the stupidity is really hard to understand.

I think they were thinking....Well let's give Bret Smith another shot.  We've spotted them a few already.   No in all seriousnes, I was wondering why the hell they didn't call a timeout or something.  The front players knew what was going on, but no one else responded.

My question is, why would Tennessee go for the onside, when on the previous play they didn't go for 2 to make it a 16 point game, which means 2 possession game.  I guess Fulmer doesn't bother with the whole math thing.

The last few minutes of the game show that this team still needs to learn how to put their foot on the throat of opponents and put the game away. Championship teams know how to do this. No matter how improbable at the beginning of the season, after THIS game, I think this team can win a championship.

I believe their throat had already been ripped out.  No need for a foot.

The confusion on the kickoff team came from the fact that we had nothing but reserves on the field for the kickoff.  If you noticed we only had 10 men on the field, the 1st player on the 2nd row East side of the field never made it on the field and as the coaches were trying to figure that out and get the back players to move forward for the onsides the players could not hear because of the noise.  We should have called time out and got our people up front, but I guess since we were up by 17 we just wanted to run the plays and let the clock run.  I was much more bothered that we gave up a late TD than I was that we were not ready for the onsides.  To be more frank about it, I was much more upset that we gave up the 1st TD because our safety was late getting over, if he bats that ball down then TN would have been left with a 4th & 17 for a 45 yard FG try.  Oh well, I will settle for 9-1 & 6-0 in the SEC.

It's a valid concern.  Did you watch the Texas game?  No lead is safe.  Well, maybe 5 touchdowns.  But that's it.  The Razorbacks need to rediscover how to score in the second half and not fall asleep on D.

I hope that wasn't our best hands team.  But if Fulmer got one of his players hurt he got what he deserved with the game decided and pulling that.

I am as big a darksider as they come, but the reason they did not go after the ball was that Houston said to back off.  That was the right call.  No need to have someone get unnecessarily hurt.  Now that being said we were unlucky in that we had two hurt during the ensuing "meaningless" drive.
