CBB was prickly yesterday..nothing that a couple three
« on: November 05, 2017, 04:48:45 pm »

Or seven lobster tails dipped in butter and a 16 oz sirloin wonít cure.

Figured you eggheads would have all this figured out by now but the page is full of he same old stuff.

Was listening to the buzz this morning after church on my weekly trek to wal mart.  No lobsters for me.  Chicken, hamburger helper, and a couple of $2 bags of potato chips for me.

Anyhow the old boy on there at 10:30 was really letting cbb have it. He let Bo Mattingly have it for a question he asked as much as anything for the way he said the word fans (he actually had a good point).  Cbb was prickly and testy with the press, who still lobbed mostly softball questions.  The press has been much less critical of him than he has deserved.  Theyíre still afraid to ask the questions I want asked but thatís another story.   I guess he expects the fans and press to absolve him and he seems eager to let everyone know that it was he who decided to not go tempo when they got behind.  He seems miffed that the press would be anything but complimentary after a victory.

Somehow cbb seems to give off the air that he should not be criticized by the press and that he just doesnít pay attention nor does his team pay attention to fans that are critical...he spoke about keeping that stuff out of the locker room.

As much as heís struggled Iíd guess that Jeff long has not had a conversation with him in the last five years about his poor performance.  He seems like the kind of guy who avoids any type of confrontation.  He should have been told every year heís been here that he needs to improve, especially at the end of last year.  I wonder if a conversation like that has ever taken place because he seems genuinely surprised that the press is now indicating that perhaps heís not doing a very good job.

I especially like the question about his blank look on his face.  Canít remember the exact words used.  Iím sure some of you can help.

Anyway...heís eating lobster today while the rest of us are eating spaghetti and fish sticks and chicken casserole so I guess heís still got it made more than the rest of us.

I think he stays another year.  And I bet he wins 8 games and stays theee more years.  And Iím not even sure thatís a bad thing.

Well boys, Iím not going to mix words. This is probably the last weekend a plane full of lobsters lands at XNA this year. I think the team is gonna be back to hot dogs, macaroni, Vienna sausage, pickled eggs and pigs feet for the post game meal.

Fortunately, the half time jelly sandwiches will still drive conversation here and division within the global fan community over the next 3 weeks. I also expect the team Thanksgiving meal to be hotly debated as this staff seemingly has quite a bit of tryptophan in their system. As far as staff changes go, really hard to go against PHJ here as he continues to have a solid finger on the pulse of all things Hog football.

Spoken like a true frontrunner. I guess you think teams/coaches should spend a lot of time talking about and listening to the fans that know what you should have done when adversity comes calling and things aren't going well.
Right......that will help matters

Iím officially requesting my name be changed to Skandar.  If any mods or admins are monitoring this thread (I figure an alarm goes off anytime I post anything and wakes up half the mods in here as I loathed by the bosses here).

Doubt it will happen but Iíd sure like to wake up tomorrow and be skandar instead of Pillowhead Jackson.

Twist how many lobsters did you sell Mrs. butterworth this week (aka cbb, calling him mrs. butterworth because heís thick and rich).

Spoken like a true frontrunner. I guess you think teams/coaches should spend a lot of time talking about and listening to the fans that know what you should have done when adversity comes calling and things aren't going well.
Right......that will help matters

You are exactly right about me...a front runner know it all.  I resent you saying it about me but I canít deny it.

Howís the pawn shop business?

He keeps a tank in his house- the man likes em fresh, he goes through 15-20 per week...depending on his mood. Lately he's depressed- triggers some  the gorge...beer/lobster solves that.

Sometimes the delivery driver drinks a cold one w him- he's not happy w the season, but he said the lobsters are the best he's ever had.  The driver saidBo was over there eating some bisque last week- a small bowl for Bo.
He said they were wearing matching t-shirts that said:

Take the good w the bad...eat some bisque biyatch.

I was confused, don't know what to think

If this works for you, I want my name changed to Matressback Washington - would you let the powers that be let them know?  I know you're a lot more influential around here than me so I'm guessing that I need to go through you to get this done.

I donít have much faith in the hogville powers that be when it comes to stuff like this.  Doug might have done it for us but I havenít seen him around in a while.  Seems like the bosses enjoy arguing around with the proletariat more than helping a fellow out with a name change.

Not denying that.

Glad your back, your insightful Razorback acumen has truly been missed.

I met Skandar at Booneville in the mid-eighties. They were doing a promotion there.  He was actually a super nice guy and could tell stories about crazy stuff that happened all day.  I remember he told one about Cowboy Bill Watts and how they were practicing one day and some new guy was going a little too hard and Bill told him to save that for the show. He did it again and Bill grabbed him up, slammed him on the mat, picked him back up and threw him over the top rope and the guy got up, walked out and they never saw him again.  He had a million stories like that.  Kept up with him for many years but eventually lost touch with him a few years before he died.  I asked him about the fireball many times and he said that was a secret he could never reveal and he was dead serious.  I didn't push the issue.

I don't blame BB for being prickly. I  would be that way with this defense
