Fort Polk's "Return to Tigerland" for Vietnam Vets
« on: June 16, 2017, 02:29:47 am »

Gents,

For the last few years Fort Polk has held "Return to Tigerland" for the Soldiers and their family members to tour what used to be known as Tigerland.

One of my last duties before I retired was to write the OPORD (Oporder for us older cats) to improve the experience for visitors.

Here is the link to the Washington Times article for the one last fall.

If anyone is interested, I will get with the OIC and get the dates for the next one.

 Thanks,

 Krieg

My dad started his Army career and retired at Ft. Polk.  I lived down there as an Army brat.  Hated the place.  Worst place we ever lived.   Favorite was Ft. Devens, Mass.
