My wife and I have to drive up to Memphis Tuesday and need to book a hotel room. Does anyone have recommendations for safe area to stay?

I've heard the new Graceland Guesthouse hotel is very nice.  It's not in the greatest part of town, but the area immediately around Graceland is pretty safe.  Downtown, you've got the Peabody of course.  And in east Memphis you have all the standards like Marriott, Hilton, Embassy Suites, etc.  All are nice, all are near the Poplar/I-240 area which is nice commercial and very safe.
