Tough Schedules for SEC Teams
« on: September 04, 2016, 10:27:03 am »

SEC teams are already known to have the toughest schedules in football, why does it seem that this year they went out looking to make it tougher? A schedule where you play Auburn, Alabama, LSU, Georgia, Florida, and the likes is usually good enough to prove if you're good or not. On top of that we had openers like this:

ALA vs. USC
LSU vs. WIS
MS vs. FSU
GA vs. UNC
TAMU vs. UCLA
AUB vs. CLEM

Those are very tough matchups and obviously a lot of them backfired. I don't get the push for tough non-con opponents when your conference schedule is already A+. Now the SEC just looks weaker and we will just beat each other up while teams like WIS and CLEM will have notably weaker conference schedules, capitalizing even more on their SEC wins.
