I'm about to walk over to the Sprint Center after dinner.

I guess it helps us more if ISU wins?

It's pretty much a wash either way, RPI wise, since we play both once.  Bama wins our conference looks better, but ISU wins and has a big year like expected it will make beating them on the road huge for the resume or a loss won't have much effect.   Beating a borderline NCAA team like Bama at home isn't going to do anything for us anyways, so go Cyclones!

If we didn't play Bama it would probably be almost a wash but since we do Bama and Arkansas sharing 18 opponents is easily the tie breaker.  The SEC needs as many quality teams and RPI boosts as it can get.  ISU can handle themselves anyway.  They're a good team and will win plenty of games regardless of the Arkansas/Bama games.

ISU is big and mature. They play with a calmness similar to the 1990 UNLV team.

I think so too. They look to be a bit out of gas. bama rolling out the press trying to get into the legs a bit.

Seems to me like both teams are playing pretty well for a neutral court game in November.

I can agree with that.  Bama has missed some wide open looks from 3.  Been a pretty good game to watch though.

Johnboy

I just started watching so maybe I'm wrong with this statement.... but the Cyclones don't seem to be a fast paced offense like we were told. They don't run anywhere close to as much as we do.

Am I just catching a slow down time or something??

They look decent, but beatable. I feel good about our chances with the state of our team year. Despite the loss of clark, it looks like we haven't missed a beat offensively. If we catch bama on a hot shooting night, or we are in a down shooting night, it could be a long game, but even then i'd still feel good about our chances.

Bama is doing good slowing the game down and controlling the pace.  Just haven't been able to knock down the big shot.

Alabama is better offensively, but their defense has a lot of holes.    Not nearly as good as they have been, on that end, under Grant before.    If you can shoot against their zone, you will beat Alabama.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

intelligence

Bama falling apart.
80 - 73 ISU
