If this was in Fayetteville with a healthy Brandon Allen, I wouldn't give Mizzou a chance at winning.  However, it's at Mizzou and BA is questionable.  I still think Arkansas wins but it's closer.  I'd say 28-21 sounds about right to me.  We just got through playing two of the best defensive lines in the conference so I don't think a DL that specializes in rushing the passer is going to be particularly nettlesome to us and I don't think you can handle our run game the way Ole Miss did.  I think Mizzou is a good team, but we are battle hardened and hungry.  Should be a good game though.

. . . And then the guy says misery is gonna win the game in the trenches.  Bwaaaaaa, haaaaaaa, haaaaaaaaas😂

Mizzou fan here.

I am hoping for one hell of a game Saturday.  The score could be anyones guess and from what I have seen, Vegas doesnt have a line on the game yet.  So they are thinking its a tossup as well.  It looks like its going to be a game won in the trenches (which I think we have a slight advantage) or a game that the team that makes the fewest mistakes wins (which I think you have a slight advantage)

For those of you coming to CoMo, I hope you have a great time.
How many points did the Mizzou Trenches score against the Bulldogs?

Our defense is playing as good, if not better, than any other defense has played all year. They are being forceful up front, disciplined with linebacker assignments and stingy in the secondary.

Our offense has been very responsible with the football. If that continues, then we'll chalk up another W

So what your saying is you haven't beat an East team yet ;)  Here are a few stats:

Mizzou defense avg per rush 3.2
Arkansas defense avg per rush 3.6
Advantage MIZZOU

Mizzou sacks per game 3.4
Arkansas sacks per game 1.7
Advantage MIZZOU

Mizzou yds per rush 5.2
Arkansas yds per rush 4.5
Advantage ARK

Mizzou sacks allowed/game 1.6
Arkansas sacks allowed/game 1.2
Advantage ARK

Like I said, we have a slight advantage due to our defensive pass rush but not much. Mainly because I am from Missouri and damnit I'm always right  :)

I wouldn't touch the game either way. Mizzou has a very tough defensive line. We have to keep their ends in check or it will be a long day on BA/AA. Anyway, Go Hogs!!
This hiding behind he has a great recruiting classcoming in crap is just another excuse for this man. you could give this man M. Johnson and Larry Bird togather and he still would not win. he is a pitiful coach who can,t coach a lick.-fcj 1/22/2011

Even if Mizzous DL stalemates our OL, our DL will absolutely shred your OL. It will probably be worse than what we did to LSU.

HF#1

The fact that you think you have the advantage in the trenches gives you zero credibility imo.

Our defense is better, our O-line is better and more physical.  QB is a push (even with Austin). WR's push.

Mizzou got exposed by Georgia.  We had a terrible day vs Georgia.  I assure you, scoring will be tough for Mizzou.  Scoring for Arkansas will be much easier.

Stripes sometimes people around here get the big head after TWO SHUTOUTS.  Mizzou has earned their right to brag just a little.  If Mizzou had played the same teams as Arkansas at the same times your Win total would be much less.

The SEC West is so much tougher than playing an SEC East schedule.  You guys got a little lucky at A&M, A&M does not lose many at Kyle Field and they had a hangover after beating Auburn.  A&M was not the same for a month after playing Arkansas.  If you do a little research, every team that Arkansas played either lost the following week or were just worn out in their next game.

I hope Friday that the game is a great game and there are no injuries to either team.

Based on what, Georgia ran through them like they had no line either side, and Miz has not played a good team other than Georgia

Not really the whole picture. Our D held GA to 3.6 y/a. The problem was our QB, his four or five turnovers, and his inability to convert third downs. Georgia started possession on their end of the field maybe once. The D was solid, but was on the field for almost 45 minutes. They simply wore down. The game is clearly an outlier. It was one of the worst offensive performances I'bpve ever seen. Thankfully, adjustments were made, the offense was tweaked, and Mauk grew to make better decisions.

Missouri will be a tough game.  SEC teams keep underestimating them and Missouri keeps winning.

SEC underestimates a team that keeps winning...against Tennessee, Kentucky, Vanderbilt,'Florida and South Carolina. We would beat the brakes off all these teams. I will congratulate Missouri fans if they win and I say that only because it won't happen.

And I will congratulate you guys if you win.  Like I said in the OP, it will be a hell of a good game.  I dont think it will be a beatdown by either team, which is what a lot of posters on here believe.  But I realize that most posters are a little biased on there own message boards.  Ours is no different.

I will give you a little advice though.  I do agree Bama and Miss St. are quality teams. But  LSU, Auburn and Ole Miss most likely wont be ranked next week, so the SOS may not be as good as many might be led to believe.

When you float back down to Earth, I'd like to point out that they also beat an A&M team that beat us, and how they stomped Florida, who we've never beaten in SEC play.  I'm glad your happy about our Hogs, but no need to be foolish.

Do they have the depth on their light quicker D-line to be hammered for 4 quarters? This game is IMO really hard to call, but I think we can run on them.

We haven't run very well on any SEC team, but I hope you're right.

It will be a tough win for whoever wins it, either way.  I don't think either team has much of an edge in any area, and I think it will come down to whoever makes the fewest mistakes wins.

It really is bad.

That general format was common on message boards in the late 90s.

But the really annoying part of it is that subjects scroll off of the main page - never to return again - even when discussion is continuing on the subject.  I can go fish a thread out from 4 pages back and comment on it, but why bother when no one else is going to see it?  I don't know that I have ever seen another forum set up like that.
