If Arkansas beats Missouri, we're probably one tripping call away from getting a shot at Wisconsin in the Citrus.

I'll gladly take any postseason game at this point though.

Don't want to play Wisconsin - for the same reason I don't want to play Louisville.
It then becomes the Beliema/Alvarez show instead of about our team and these players who stayed strong and played hard when they could have given up.

Agreed. If we got Louisville then it becomes all about what happened between Arkansas and Petrino. This Bowl game needs to be about this team and the team that we're playing. No built in distractions.

I wish we could go to the Gator bowl. Living here in Savannah that would be an easy 2 hour drive for me. Would beating Mizzou get us there?

same here. let's play a game where  the focus is on the players. wps

I firmly believe we're going to wax whoever we're pitted against. It's the most confident I've been this year with the exception of UAB and Nicholls State.

And that's why we'll probably lose.

likely going to a team further east than us. We are almost guaranteed the liberty against texas or even Oklahoma regardless of the outcome Friday.  Independence may not happen due to Louisville being the opponent.I don't think anyone in arkansas will want that for the reasons mentioned in this thread.

I'd absolutely love to play Texas, and watch CBB's boys run the ball down their throats...

I don't care who we play.  What's important is the 15 extra practices and one extra game to provide the spring board into Spring practice and the 2015 football season.

By simply getting to a bowl, we solidify our position as a football destination to recruits nation wide.  We gain experience through the practices and extra game.  We can begin to build the depth chart for next year earlier than Spring.

This is big time for the program, fellas.

Hogville prediction formula:

1.  Insert bad news prediction. A loss, a recruit going elsewhere, a coach leaving, etc.
2.  Tag "hope I'm wrong," on the end.
3a.  Enjoy a correct prediction.
3b.  Act like you're relieved you're wrong and celebrate with everyone else.

Their D is actually pretty nice, but we'd likely pitch another shutout. Their O has improved a bit recently, which means it's only mildly terrible.

Isn't it time to move past Texas? I mean Id take it but that would be the dream matchup for most of you?

Considering where we will most likely land - yes Texas would be the most attractive matchup and generate the most interest.

Big for recruiting...epecially if we embarrass them

Come on guys, would you really want to deny some of our kids a chance to fully express their feelings for a guy that stabbed them in the hearts and broke off the hilt?

Our dirty laundry is already in the wind and I'd love the chance to burn and bury it.

Texas? Boring only means something to old farts. Would rather play an acc team. Something we have done in a while.

People under 40 have a hard time appreciating how much older folks hate Texas.

Combine your loathing for Kentucky Basketball, add it to Alabama Raaawl Tide idiocy, and multiply it by the last three years of Aggie braggadacio, and you have a taste of what Texas is.

No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

I doubt Texas will end up having to leave the state to play a bowl game. Strongly doubt it....

Hoglady, I absolutely agree. I want our Bowl game to be ABOUT the players and not about Alvarez nor about Petrino.  That would be all the "talking heads" would talk about during the game i.e. past problems with Petrino.

It has been such a long time since I have posted on HV due to the fact that I could not bear all the negativity but I have lurked on here from time to time.  I am so proud of OUR team & OUR coaching staff.  I have witnessed improvement in every game that has been played and I have held on to that fact.  It has been many years since I have seen this kind of defense on a Razorback team.  The very fact that Coach BB & staff did not "lose" this team early on speaks volumes.  WPS!!!!  We are goin' bowlin'!!!!   :razorback:
My all time Razorback favs.....

1. 1969 Shootout (Longhorns 'n Hogs football)
2.  Great Alaska Shootout under Eddie Sutton
3.  Orange Bowl CLASSIC under the Great Lou
4.  Rollin w/Nolan AND the '94 NC
5.  Being able to see Nolan and Company at the Aloha Classic in Honolulu (Dec '94) & all of us breaking bread together at a luau, & watching Nolan do the hula after being called onstage. AWESOME!  It doesn't get any better than that.

If we played Louisville I'd probably burn all my member cards to MB's if there was such a thing just so I wouldn't be tempted to venture into one.  It would be hloody bell!
