Why does Hogville always need a conspiracy?  The SEC gets tons of respect from all the media and the polls, yet we have these threads.

No joke...  Arkansas fans just pretending there is a conspiracy and that we are the hated victim

Well... There WAS a conspiracy once upon a time in the SWC and we WERE the hated victim.  That kinda stuff is hard to get over.  Give us battered woman syndromers a little slack.

We have not been in the SWC since most of our posters were born.

why are you being a drama queen?

ESPN was questioning Miss State's credibility going forward per Ole Miss losing.

They did not question TCU or Ohio State ending the season with struggling opponents.

Fact.

Please respond.

You know... that is exactly what the government does.  They put out all the kooky conspiracy theories like we didn't go to the Moon, as cover, so that when we figured out who killed Kennedy, we had no credibility.  "just another conspiracy theory"

That's the "Conspiracy Theory .. Conspiracy Theory"   And its TRUE

Uh yeah!   And not only that, but EXCUSE ME, we actually saw it coming... before we beat Ole Miss.  Spelled it all out right here in the whistle whip PSA...

Umm, yeah, you were a drama queen when you started this lame thread, making up a conspiracy that is not there.

They have been discussing all teams and their losses and strength of schedule, but you probably missed that when you were running to your broom closet to get you tinfoil hat.

This year there are 7-8 teams that could make a claim to actually deserve to be in the playoff.  I think yearly that number will fluctuate between 3-8.  Therefore, I believe 8 is enough.  I can see where they might could go maybe 16 some day, but I'll never really believe #9 really has much of an argument.

I would suggest 8 teams, first round at the home field of the top four the week after conference championships.  The losers could still be eligible for bowls.  The winners would do a 4 team playoff as it currently is.  It's a simple tweak.

I can never remember a time where anyone outside of the top-5 actually had an argument that they deserved to be playing for it all.  The powers-that-be have to take a hard look at the toll more and more games would take on the athletes that are actually taking the field.  If the guys wanting 8-16 teams had their way, these kids would be playing into March and will be totalling around 15 games.

If MSU wins Sat they will be very lucky the Big 12 doesn't have a Championship game...because they would be out.  I can see OSU knocking MState out if they win the champ game by more than 2 TD's.

MSu is out, unless at least two teams out of the group of Ohio St/tcu/baylor/fsu/oregon lose.  No way that the committee puts in a 11-1 MSu that did not play in the seccg over a 12-1 big10 winner, or a 11-1 big12-2+1-1-2+2*pi conf champ or co-champ.

Oddly enough, I think MSu's best chance of getting in is for Bama to beat Aub, but then lose in the seccg while MSU wins the egg bowl.

I think the committee is secretly going to be rooting for FLA this week, and/or GT next week to knock of FSU.

I don't start threads being a drama queen (not to mention, wrong) and then accuse others of being drama queens.  Of course, I rarely start new threads.

This thread is great.  Chris Fowler has had to respond both on Gameday and in a Rolling Stone article about what appears to be a strong SEC bias shown on ESPN and now SEC fans believe they are showing bias against The SEC.  You gotta love it.
