Did it seem like the run game picked up when A. Allen came in? Looked like Brandon was taking to long to get out from under center and getting the ball to the backs allowing the def to get to the RB in the backfield. However, there is the the goal line carries the team still is struggling with for some reason with either QB in. Need to cash in from inside the 5 yard line.

Kodi walker is better on the short yardage but has to work on holding on to the ball better

BA wasnt taking too long.  When will the nit-picking of BA stop?  We were leaving guys unblocked when they were coming through blowing up the plays.  We changed some of our formation and blocking schemes that benefitted the run game allowing player unblocked to blow up plays behind the LOS.

The Ole Miss D's moral was way low at that point in the game. They were physically and mentally tired. But it did look that way.

I agree

The wind had been taken out of their sails by then.  But the running game usually pays dividends in the 2nd half after the line has been worn down.

I was not trying to nit-pick BA. It was an observation and I asked to get other views which were given and I can agree with that. thanks

True. I hope we can wear down Mizzou easier than Ole Miss.

Run game is doing exactly what it is supposed to do.

It forces defenses to focus on it and allows our play action to get receivers/TE open.

Our offense is just now beginning to click.

Your observation is dead wrong and only fuels the people looking for every little thing to find wrong with BA.  What was your point?  AA did an ok job with what he was asked to do but he is nowhere close to BA right now as a passer or game manager.

My concern is that we weren't able to punch it in at the one yard line. If you have all your downs at the one yard, you have to be able to get a TD.

Miss d starting getting tired and that's when running picked up. Miss got a pretty salty D

They ran harder when Austin came in.  They quit dancing as much, and hit the freaking hole.

I was not endorsing a freshman with 2 1/2 qtrs. to take over this team. And certainly was not trying to upset people on the other side of the screen, but got others feedback and point of views on a discussion board and I see what they are saying and I agree with that.

^My concern as well. We have to get that push.

Yep they wore down

Running the ball consistently during the first half will usually pay dividends later in the game. That is why you have to stick with it as long as your defense is playing well. We threw very few passes overall. I think we ran 50 times or something like that.

my observation is that you are another in the group of people who SUPPOSEDLY registered in Nov of 2007 but had hardly ever posted until the middle of this season, and all that group has done is not pick at ba about EVERYTHING.

The Hogs won today because of defense, and because BA is a SMARTER Qb than Bo Wallace.  Wallace is more talented, but he has always had 2 or 3 games a year when he just makes some " what the heck was he thinking " throws.

the run game will typically get better as the game goes along anyway.   if anything we should run better with ba in the game because he is more of a threat to pass and the defense has to respect that.    probably just the defense getting run down somewhat by the time aa came in.   think the run game will be better next week.   don't believe the mizzou defensive front is as good as what we've seen the last  few games.

50 plays in a half will take the wind right out of a defense.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

Unbelievable.  We win 30-0, get bowl eligible, & you start a thread criticizing BA.

Completely wrong about posting that BA was taking too long to get out from under center.  Cannot believe you posted that.  The defense was getting into the backfield too quickly, because the OL was missing assignments, or a DB or end was coming off the edge unblocked.  Blaming that on the QB is ridiculous.  You either have an agenda against BA, or you don't know much about football.

Thanks for your observation hogsanity. Posters who have a different opinion who have to try and put down others because they don't line up with their own thoughts or views is exactly why I don't post much. Thank you to those who shared their thoughts respectfully and gave me another view point that changed my opening thoughts that I previously stated. Good night my fellow hog fans

The players get them for both academic and athletic achievements after wins.

make no mistake; wallace did not have a bad game. the hogs brought the badness to him. the interceptions td, for example, was off a back foot throw he was forced to make by our rush, and he was on an injured back foot we gave him.

what moment in our game was a "what the heck was he thinking?"

The rest of the frog.
