which is why you recruit texas.  the state produces good football players because first of all there is a lot of competition to make a team and then you play against great competition.

I know nothing about rankings, so it says here he is ranked at .8223, and shows he's a 3*.  So is he a low 3* or a high 3*, in other words, how far away is he from a 4*?

at least for 247, the current ranges are:

3*  0.7970 - 0.8900
4*  0.8901 - 0.9834
5*  0.9835 - 1.0000

For all I know, these ranges are not fixed and may float around a bit, but these are the general ranges for 247...which is my favorite site since a composite score is used that takes other recruiting service rankings into account as well (at least it attempts to do that).

One of the experts on here my have a better explanation or opinion.
