What ails us? Just a reminder . . .

Nope, we're not quite "there" yet.  Still a work in progress and two years away from "arriving" at the point like MSU is doing this year.  Frustrating for all of us who have suffered through the ups and (more frequently the lat 20 years) downs.

But the other side of it - as has been well chronicled here from time to time - is that we're playing an ungodly schedule, even by our standards.

Take a look at this.

Shows us as the #20 team in the country.  Not sure I agree - I think we're closer to 30 than 20 - but the point is that on our schedule is seven teams ahead of us, including 5 of the top 6!  You could legitimately be the 20th best team in the country and have a 5 or 6 win season against a schedule that stout.

Like it or not, we just need to stay the course and keep improving.  It's tough when ALL the teams in your conference are studs.  That's why you see teams loaded with All-Americans and high draft picks with losing records in the NFL.  That is what the SEC has become.
