Amen. They played a damn fine game.

Hogfan1660

I second this motion! Who would've thought that our defense is the best thing this team has?

Amen. They played a damn fine game.

I second that. They just played better than I can remember them playing in a long time.
Go HOGS Go!

BigPapaHawg

Defense played a great game!
WOO PIG

farmhawg

We have a defensive coordinator.
From theflyinghog

Jeff Long is sitting around drinking some fruity girl drink and reading this and realizing he was the wrong man for the job. We're crazy. We love us some damn hog football. There may be a bunch of suits sitting behind glass on gameday but dammit you better not cross us airplane-tracking, fence-jumping, hangar-breakin-entering night-vision purchasin sumbitches! We're Miracle on Markham and 4th and 25, 7 overtime-winning tear down the goalposts and drag em down Dickson because you ain't goin to the BCS, fat phil!! BRING ME A COACH WITH A PAIR AND SACRIFICE A VIRGIN CUZ ITS TIME TO FUSCING WIN!!!!

farmhawg

Maybe he should also be in charge of all game management decisions as well.

Very impressed with the D today
The dream is free, the journey is not.

hehawg

They did an awesome job! It's a shame so many points were left on the field. These guys are on the verge of something BIG! I have faith in these players and coaches. I'm a very impatient guy but I like what I'm seeing on the field. Sure we have some things that have cost us the last 2 games but we are almost over that hump
#LEFTLANE
#HAMMERDOWN!

nearhogfan

We have the makings of an SEC defense. I sure hope Philon isn't hurt as bad as it looked.

DC HOGFAN

The D did a great job tonight.

JeffSpicoli

Rob Smith needs a raise. The d came to play. Before the game, it was all but given that Copper would have 200+ yards.

lefty08

Best defense we have played in a decade. Pumped from what I saw!
Re: So far the UC press conference is hilarious Reply
Losing gracefully isn't taught in second-tier programs. See Arkansas, Cincinnati, et al.

they played their asses off tonight.

ErieHog

Tonight might have cost Cooper the Heisman. We played that well.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

atekido

we have held EVERY team below there averages in just about every category. its amazing to see that our Offense is what is costing us wins this year!

Cooper who?
Elwood: It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tanks of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

Jake: Hit it.

DoubleReedHawgCaller

I agree , the defense put us in a position to win the game tonight. The other was lacking....
A couple female midgets, a few bottles of Wild Irish Rose, and a room at the Trout Inn...... who knows what may happen.....

Airforcehawg

Take away the big play to Howard, and the Defense holds Bama under 190 total Yrds

Atlhogfan1

I don't think our fans realize what defensive performance they just witnessed.

Bama ran for just 66 yards.

227 total yards for Bama.
Quote from: MaconBacon on March 22, 2018, 10:30:04 amWe had a good run in the 90's and one NC and now the whole state still laments that we are a top seed program and have kids standing in line to come to good ole Arkansas. We're just a flash in the pan boys.

Uncle SI

Defense played lights out tonight.
Next up Chubby Bring it
First time, long time, great topic, love the show.

TNRazorbacker

Great job D.

Worried we may have list Philon tho. That will be a blow.

PEtrader

Great job D. We can actuAlly tackle!
Oddball on NWA: "I'm drinking wine and eating cheese, and catching some rays, you know. "

Großer Kriegschwein

That's the best game of defense I've seen in years. I too am extremely worried about Philon
This is my non-signature signature.

Cooper who?

Amari Cooper. Best WR in the SEC, and arguably the country.

Coming into tonight, he was in the top 8 of Vegas' Heisman trophy candidates-- and that was before A&M getting murdered and Auburn losing. Realistically, he was a Heisman finalist candidate when he stepped on the field tonight-- and probably was played out of an invite to NYC, by our defense.

great defensive effort...Cooper? Yeldon? Henry? some pretty good playmakers on that team.....played well enough on defense to win (except for dropping interceptions)

I think he was being sarcastic. As in saying; he was a nobody out there today.

Given the collective ignorance in MMQB, that seems a less than likely assumption.

Unbelievable. Incredible effort. That looked like an old-style swarming Razorbacks defense.

Could not be more proud of the effort tonight.

Life is too short for grudges and feuds.

Pig In The City

I was blown away by our defense tonight. Great things to come Hog fans!

Thank you. Yes 2 for 22 is not exactly stellar. The sarcasm button is broken.

I remember when CBP was here I prayed for a defense like this... awesome showing tonight

I loved how our defense played. Should give them a lot of confidence, too.

One big reason we never saw it under CBP was because the defense never had a chance to rest. We had a 10 minute TOP advantage in today's game, so our defense rested more then Alabama's. That's another reason why I think we should have ran more.

Touché. After some of the crap I've seen on here tonight; that very well could have been the case.

fanofthehog

Agreed! That was the best defensive effort I have seen in a long time.

NorCalRazorback

Defense was lights out.

How about Tevin Mitchel... kids playing loads better than I remember. He's covering well and hitting well.
"...and Decori Birmingham has caught it in the back of the end zone to tie it at 20 all with 9 seconds left..."

forrest city joe

Hats off to our players, and this defensive staff. best defense in many years.

Torqued pork
