He has Bobby Portis going 15th the the Pacers. Its a insider article but he he says that he would have been a first rounder this past year had he declared and he could go higher because of his coachabilty and his motor.

Do you happen to have any rapping skills? I think we could set you up with DJ Khaled and you could make a song entitled, "All I Do Is Bitch"

If he is a First Rounder he should go. That type of money he can make in 2-3 years can be life changing.

IMO he is a mid round first rounder.

As far as his pro prospects I believe he will need to really improve his mid range shot to be 20-30 min ppg player. In a Half Court setting I believe he will struggle down low as he isn't quickest or highest leaper flatfooted.

He is a guy that can get a lot of easy buckets in transition because of his speed and effort is greater than that of a normal NBA big man. Also has better ups with a running start.

His ceiling as a pro is considered to be as a role player.

He can be a hero here and the money will still be there when he gets done.

I wonder how Archie Goodwin feels about his business decision these days?

Tell that to Terrance Morris. The money wasn't there when he got done.

In the NBA you have to go when you are a hot name.

Archie's got a little over 2 million reasons to be happy with his decision.

Archie has over ($)2 million reasons to feel just fine with his decision.  Phoenix has two studs in Eric Bledsoe and Gerald Green who both play the two spot. Goodwin is 20, and has been in the league for one year. I think its pretty clear he still has plenty of upside.

He gone
Not necessarily. Love how fans are quick to assume a player is leaving early every time they are projected to have a good season. Plenty of kids turn down the money to stay one more year. Wouldn't surprise me if Bobby did. Especially with the team we could have in 2015 with him and the recruits we are after.

I would love to be wrong about this one. I hope he stays in his senior year and graduate from a university and being is the number one overall pick. Or at least in the top 10.

I hope he stays also. But I think we have to take two post players in case he doesn't

Adam Stokes

NBAdraft.net updated their mock draft yesterday.  They have him going at #12 to the Nuggets.

If he plays well enough to go that high, lookout!

I would say it's probably 70/30 he goes right now. He's projected late lottery-mid first round. He probably needs to go if that holds or improves by the end of the season. If he sees his stock fall back to later in the first round or second round, I think he'll strongly consider staying and trying to win a national championship.

I don't think Bobby has any issues staying another year, but I do think also does not have any issue leaving if his stock is high enough. If we get to like the Sweet 16, he's done his job. He's played a big part in turning the program he loves around. If we don't do anything in the tournament (or miss it), I think he still leaves because what's the point of sticking around if we can't do anything with the talent we have. (For the record, I think we'll finish much closer to making the Sweet 16 than not making the tournament again.)

If you are a #12 pick in a draft of your sport, then you go. You have to go. I'd advise any kid I know to take the money and run, then begin saving 20% of it the day you sign. Why? The same reason for both, time is a cruel master for most athletes.
John L. Smith is so bad that he will laugh himself off the field

Got to looking at the mock draft sites after reading this thread. Draft Express has Moses Kingsley #29 and Michael Qualls #30 for 2016. They have Portis #20 for 2015.

?First round and u r a role player?

Majority of NBA first round draft picks are out of the league in 3 years

If you go from 10 to 25,  you are likely viewed as a rotation candidate.  The turnover rates in the NBA are super high, and the number of non-role players/specialists continues to decline.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."
