When I think of having great depth as far a playing time I'm thinking DL and RB's. What I don't think about is substituting throughout the game especially at the skill positions other than RB. I watch a lot of football college and pro and unless I'm totally missing something starters play their positions throughout the game if they're healthy. I don't really ever see starting OL rotate unless injured.

Now as far as during the practice week having that 2 push the 1 or lose his spot is a great problem to have. I believe the reason we rotate so much at every position is because our younger players are actually more talented and are being developed through game experience not because the others are tired. ( exception: RB, DL ) I could be wrong but I believe with each year through player development we will see less substitutions across the board.
