Full match results from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn.:

Quote- WWE Tag Team Championship – Goldust & Stardust def. The Usos

- WWE United States Championship – Sheamus def. Cesaro

- WWE Intercontinental Championship – The Miz def. Dolph Ziggler

- Rusev def. Mark Henry

- Randy Orton def. Chris Jericho

- WWE Divas Championship – AJ Lee def. Paige & Nikki Bella

- WWE World Heavyweight Championship – John Cena def. Brock Lesnar via disqualification

Now let's dive into the details from Night of Champions:

A disqualification is a bad way to end a pay-per-view

In the case of the John Cena-Brock Lesnar match, just as the match was getting hot, Seth Rollins ran down and knocked Cena upside the head with the Money in the Bank briefcase, ending the match.

Rollins then turned his attention to Lesnar, as he delivered a curb stomp and attempted to cash in the contract. Cena thwarted the effort, leaving fans without a winner or a cash-in.

From a story standpoint, the finish made sense. For Lesnar and Cena, it sets up a Hell in a Cell match between them next month...

For Rollins, it leaves him available for a potential Hell in a Cell match against Dean Ambrose...

From the fan's perspective, it's kind of a letdown...

I really enjoyed most of the show, but having a DQ finish in a PPV main event just isn't cool. Had Rollins been able to cash in and get the belt last night it would have been okay. I really hope the old man will one day realize that people won't boo Cena all the time if he's made to look consistently vulnerable.

I marked out so big for Ambrose's return. I really hope Vince & the creative team heard how crazy the crowd went when he returned. He is the definition of an anti hero & the crowd wants to be invested in him.

So Ambrose starts off tonight's raw. Definitely not a crowd pop like I was expecting.

WWE Raw results and observations (09/22/14)

The most recent edition of WWE Raw was an improvement compared to the last few weeks.

That improvement was mostly due to the presence of one man: Dean Ambrose.

QuoteFull match results:

- WWE Intercontinental Championship – Dolph Ziggler def. The Miz

- Jack Swagger def. Bo Dallas

- Natalya def. Summer Rae

- Dean Ambrose def. Kane via disqualification

- Goldust, Stardust & Cesaro def. The Usos & Sheamus

- Rusev def. Mark Henry

- Adam Rose & The Bunny def. Slater & The Gator (Heath Slater & Titus O'Neil)

- AJ Lee def. Nikki Bella

- John Cena def. Randy Orton via disqualification

Ambrose is now the de-facto No. 2 babyface on the roster and he looked like it Monday.

He got to open the show with a good promo, he got to rub shoulders with Cena and he got be involved in a story that ran throughout the show.

I love how Ambrose's gimmick is that of a person that literally pops up out of nowhere now...

WWE Raw results and observations (9/29/14)

Quote- WWE Intercontinental Championship - Dolph Ziggler def. The Miz & Cesaro

- Layla def. Rosa Mendes

- Bo Dallas def. Marl Henry

- Brie Bella def. Cameron & Eva Marie

- Slater Gator def. Los Matadores

- Alicia Fox def. AJ Lee

- Sheamus def. Damien Mizdow

- Dean Ambrose & John Cena def. Randy Orton & Kane via disqualification

Now let's run through my highlights and observations from the AllState Arena in Chicago:

Seth Rollins stands tall

Mr. Money in the Bank Seth Rollins is firmly entrenched as one of the top heels in the WWE today.

CM Punk chants persist, get shot down by Stephanie McMahon

"The Pitbull" Jamie Noble, Joey Mercury (ex-MNM) look like new age stooges

Is WWE making Bo Dallas a babyface?

What's in store for Luke Harper?

It looks like a lot is on store for him after a promo aired during Raw.

If Harper is gearing up for a singles run, where does that leave Bray Wyatt?
