i just ran across this on reddit and wasn't aware of it.

ed said "no", that he'd promised his family he wouldn't be coaching this season.

i know its hog ball time but this seemed relevant.

I said it right after the Hogs game with them that their coach needed to be fired. Really, he wasn't very good at his job at all. 18% winning percentage through 5 seasons is terrible.

That team wasn't any good at all. May be the worst team in all of college football. Honestly.

In other words, Orgeron probably said something like this:...... "No, I promised my family I wouldn't be coaching this season.....unless a good job came up, & this sure ain't it.  Call Houston Nutt, heard he was applying for jobs that weren't even open"......

I think they are the worst.  77-3 at start of 4th quarter.  Against North Texas.  The Mean Friggin Green!

If the South should lose, it means that the history of the heroic struggle will be written by the enemy, that our youth will be trained by Northern school teachers, will be impressed by all of the influences of history and education to regard our gallant dead as traitors and our maimed veterans as fit subjects for derision.
