UCLA won the toss and deferred to the second half.

Texas, in a braindead moment, then used their option to kickoff.

UCLA will receive to start both halves.

Just thought that after a big win this would be funny.

Ilikthiskindaparty

Texas and Texas A&m have exchanged roles.
I'm going to be here all day.

I did that in flag football once.  Felt like an idiot.

Irony is that Texas did the SAME thing against Arkansas in 2004.

BYU killed Texas

Houston played BYU pretty tough, lost by 8

before that, Houston got their butts handed to them by lowly UT-San Antonio

Now I know football doesn't work like that, but that still really says a lot.

Just started watching.  What happened to ucla's heisman candidate qb?

I think I'll tune into ShaggyBevo and watch them lose their minds tonight.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

If you watched the replay of that winning TD pass from UCLA, the upper deck of Jerry World was quite bare.

Let's recap:

- University of Texas
- Big game against a ranked UCLA team early in the season
- In the best stadium on the planet
- Upper deck seats were empty at the end of a close game
- In Dallas
- In Dallas

We are supposed to get the return game from 2008 in 2012, and allegedly there are talks to ad years to the deal.

With BC defeating So. Cal and Texas giving UCLA all they could handle, we should be spared any crazy talk that the Pac XII is on par with the SEC for awhile.

Hog_Fink

pretty sure i remember hearing back when Petrino was still here that texas postponed the game to 2018 and that we were gonna try and work out another home-home

Losing their Heisman candidate QB in the 1st Qtr. had to slow UCLA considerably IMO.  Oregon and AZ State look very good, and Cal is usually pretty strong.  Too early to tell anything yet.

If the South should lose, it means that the history of the heroic struggle will be written by the enemy, that our youth will be trained by Northern school teachers, will be impressed by all of the influences of history and education to regard our gallant dead as traitors and our maimed veterans as fit subjects for derision.

Hogville prediction formula:

1.  Insert bad news prediction. A loss, a recruit going elsewhere, a coach leaving, etc.
2.  Tag "hope I'm wrong," on the end.
3a.  Enjoy a correct prediction.
3b.  Act like you're relieved you're wrong and celebrate with everyone else.

Their hiesman touted guy has been sucking all year long, that back up came in and moved the ball.

Beating Colorado doesn't propel you to get talked about as a power and good team.  Since when has cal and good been used in the same sentence?

Oregon couldn't run away from Wyoming until late in the 3rd (this pissed me
Off lost a lot on this game).

The Cowboys lost a thanksgiving game in the 90s, due to an OT coin flip screw up on the same scale.

I still can't get over that there were so many empty seats at a Texas game in Jerry World......new coach, early in the season, in Dallas, ranked out-of-conference opponent, close game, and all those empty seats?  Not a good sign for CS already.
