Coaching staff picks MVPs of Saturday's game

In case you missed it, the following were voted players of the game by coaches:

Offense - Denver Kirkland
Defense - Taiwan Johnson
Special Teams - Jeremy Sprinkle, Khalia Hackett, & Dwayne Eugene

Offense Honorable Mentions - Hatcher, Hollister, Tretola, and J. Williams
Defense Honorable Mentions - D.J. Dean, Trey Flowers, and Henre Toliver

I am particularly intrigued by the newcomers mentioned: Tretola, Hollister, Hackett, Eugene, and Toliver. I reckon we can expect to see more of them in the coming weeks.

I think a half dozen of these freshmen are more talented than many upperclassmen on the last two years' teams.

 I had to look up the number 44 to see who was going beast mode on ST. Hackett is going to be a very good football player!!

All the young guys mentioned give an indication that the recruiting is on an upswing.

Recruiting better players, than the ones that are here = improvement on the field.
