Any word on his injury? They said he left the game with a hurt ankle. Not sure if twisted or broken.

hawgcraZ

Based on twitter he is on pain killers so I would say its pretty serious.

Is this because of his tweets, lol. Seriously, I hope it's nothing to keep him out for long

They'll give you painkillers for a sprain. Being given medication tells you nothing about the severity of an injury.

I'm told no major damage and Luke will be more than ready for the season.

Scott7703 and hawgcraZ... That's the kind of hard-hitting, we're all on the same page, material that distinguishes our fans from any other.

The real question here is this;

Who is more confused?

Asking a blonde to count the stairs on an escalator.

or

Figuring out how long Bonfield will be out?

Neither statement contradicts the other. Surgery to repair the broken ankle is minor. There is no major damage, and he'll be back and healthy several months before the season starts.

Apparently everyone was taking my interpretation of a major injury to mean I expected it to end his career or something.  I was only stating sprain = minor and could be back in a week or so.  Hope he has a speedy recovery.  Can't wait to watch the kid rake.

He is having a minor surgery. Nothing to freak out about. I'm told Luke will be 100% in time for practice to crank back up. Here is the exact response I was given.

"Just a minor bump in the road. Will be fine in time for a run to Omaha".
