I think they'll try for someone like Sumlin.  I could also see them going after Schiano.  I guess it all depends on how much emphasis they place on it being a Michigan Man.

Is it duck season?

No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

Harbaugh.
thats what I think. Frustrations in SF will push him to Ann Arbor. I wish home could stay. He's a joke.
This is fun, isn't it.

No tears shed for Michigan getting beat but now we will have to put up with ND being pimped.  Probably will get in the top 10 now.  They need a beating real soon.

The_Iceman

Greg Schiano would be a great fit there.

I don't know about that.  I believe he would turn them down again for another nfl coaching job.  49ers are stupid to let him go if they continue to win with him.

Michigan football went to darn when they went to the RR finesse spread.  They went away from being a program that rolled out eventual NFL qb's and pro offenses and the entire program became soft.  Programs like this should never choose to go soft.

They won't do that again even though it would probably bring them back to relevance.

Why would a program with the recruiting ability of Michigan and the proven track record of having great offensive linemen want to go to a system designed to devalue the matchup of offensive line vs defensive line?  This doesn't mean Michigan should go extreme run heavy.

It works well in the SEC for auburn and Texas A&M.

Auburn doesn't devalue their offensive line with finesse spread football.  They actually have used veteran offensive lines to have good/great running games in 2010 and 2013 to win SEC Ch's and a NC.  Not a good comparison to Mike Leach or Rich Rod.

It has worked well for A&M offensively.  A 3rd place and 4th place finish in their division and horrible defensive play in those two seasons as well.

here is the deal   once your program is down  it is normally a long and painful process to become relevant again.   Look at my name    I know  one bad coach and it could take years  Callahan ruined Nebraska for a decade or more

Not really true.   A great coach will usually turn programs around in 3 or 4 years and show progress each year.   A good coach would take about 5 or 6 years and still might not be where the program used to be.

I bet they are waiting for federal funds so they can afford to develop a short list. Times are tough in Michigan....

Would be the best hire they could make. Assuming Harbaugh doesn't want it.

Les Miles - they are officially running him out of town

Eric Holder is now available.

Starting to look like they will need an interim coach. Brady Joke may not make it to the end of the season.

Might as well let him finish it out. Seems the interim route usually doesn't do any good either. He's gone at years end for sure unless he pulls some miraculous turnaround, which I don't see happening.

TeufelHog

Harbaugh, Sciano, or Miles . . . one of those three IMHO.
