When asked to elaborate, he only brought up punter Devon Bell's success

If Saturday's game plays out how fans hope, backup quarterback Damian Williams will be seeing a lot of time. Mullen wouldn't tip his hand as to who the third string quarterback is.

When asked for sleepers on his team Mullen brought up the running backs Josh Robinson and Nick Griffin.

"That's probably a position that on offense there is no returning starter," Mullen said.

First time these two schools have played since 1990.

State is going to be pretty good, if they can keep from turning the football over.

State looked good and Southern Miss misses Larry Fedora.

Southern Miss may literally be the worst D1 FBS team. Bottom five beyond all doubt. Good showing by MSU nonetheless.

Mullen says UAB will play with confidence and swagger after its win over Troy.
UAB's running game will be much different than what they saw against Southern Miss.

Mullen expects Dezmond Harris and Rashun Dixon to be more comfortable this week. It had been multiple years since both have played in a game.

Mullen says Chris Jones did okay but still has work to do to be an every down player.

Yep it is amazing how far SM has fell since they ran off Larry.
