Check out these stats on the 7 head coaches in the SEC West:

They have an overall record of 517-209, for a .712 winning percentage.
They've coaches in 44 bowl games, winning 25.
They've coached in 14 BCS games.
Five of the seven have won a total of 14 college football conference championships
They've won 5 national titles

There's a reason it's the most competitive division in college football.  If you look around the West, every one of these coaches are among the nation's finest.

They've coached in 14 BCS games.

7 of those games were for the national title

I would rather live as if there is a God and find out there isn't, than to live as if there isn't and find out there is.

It's the most competitive division in the history of college sports, hands down.

The SEC, as a conference, has been bossing the rest of the nation, for the past eight years.  And during that time the SEC West has pretty much dominated the East division.  All seven teams have at least one 9-win season just in the last few years.

By any measurable standard (championships, Heismans, winning %, etc.), the SEC West is undeniably the most difficult division in sports right now.
