Two Wharton High football players were arrested on July 30 on probable cause charges of third-degree felony grand theft ($300-$5,000) and burglary of an unoccupied residence at 20327 Natures Corner Dr. in Tampa, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

Norsalus Jackson and Terrence Smith were released on their own recognizance.

Jackson caught nine passes for 92 yards on Wharton's region playoff team last season. Smith ran 11 times for 59 yards and one touchdown.

Neither had been on the radar for any SEC schools prior to this incident.

You can't even troll right.  Jermaine Petty had a DUI after his playing days.

Jermaine BROOKS was arrested on drug charges and kicked off the team.
