Congrats, what kind of money could they offer?

No earthly idea on what kind of money they could offer, but I don't think it would be more than 100K or else high level high school prospects who are tough signs wouldn't be drafted and enter this process and sign for what they want.

Good for Mark, it had to be a heartbreaker to have his scholly rescinded...

He's an Arkansas kid....hope that he does well with the Rays...

I haven't followed very closely.. Why did his offer get rescinded?

The draft was nice to us this year.

And some came back, which I realize still pertains to the draft.

it would have been nice to have a catcher that can hit!

Yep, losing only 5 players and 1 signee to the draft was better than anyone could have hoped for out of the draft this year.

Yeah, because the two recruits who were drafted as catchers can't hit.  I know Wiggins probably won't see any time behind the plate at Arkansas, but he might play there at the pro level.  And it's not like the other catcher drafted started a collegiate summer league ASG after graduating from high school this spring.

We had one that hit .320 last year......

Who is also hitting .164 (10-61) in summer ball.  He has drawn 17 walks on the summer so he is showing an excellent eye.  His OBP is .366.  It's almost like he might be a little too patient at the plate letting hittable pitches go by trying to get on base without watching the games live and just going off the stats.

Maybe he can only hit SEC pitching.   ;D

Nobody on his team is hitting .300+.  I wonder if the Texas League is pitcher heavy.
