There's still time to do what I did and arm-twist them for some concessions to stay with them:

Just be sure to ask for the retention department, and tell them Uverse (or whoever) is wooing you with low rates for a year, gift cards, etc. and with the uncertainty over the SEC Network, you're about to accept one of these other providers' offer.  They will initially just offer a few concessions, but if you act like it's not enough they will continue to add things.

You can always do this, of course, but your leverage will never be as good as it is now, before they announce a deal with the SEC Nework.

Good idea, my $30 off just ran out. I was only paying $70ish up until a few months ago bc of the last time I called and complained to the retention group.

Bumped so folks can remember to call DirecTV and get some concessions ($$$) before they announce the SEC Network deal.

Also, here is Clay's latest article on the SEC Network . . . says we will clear more than Notre Dame and Texas do on their deals . . . ha ha ha!

I'm not a Clay Travis fan, per se.  But I will say that he's been on top of the SEC network information over the last year or so.  He must have a source in the SEC office pretty close to the negotiations.
