Arkansas State eyeing Busch Stadium for 2015 football game against Mizzou

Near the end of last year, the St. Louis Sports Commission came to Arkansas State Athletic Director Terry Mohajir with a proposal.

The commission has been looking to bring Missouri football back to St. Louis since its last Tigers-Illinois matchup at the Edward Jones Dome in 2010.

Mohajir said he has been in discussions with the commission to play the game at Busch Stadium on Sept. 12, 2015, for a "significant" sum.

Kansas City was also part of the thought process for Mohajir, an Overland Park native who was an assistant coach for the Kansas football team in the 1990s and subsequently worked in the athletic departments at UMKC and Kansas.

Mohajir even said Kansas City's offer was "probably a little better" than St. Louis, but its location would make it more difficult for Arkansas State fans to get to the game.
