Brazil vs. Chile  11:00 a.m. CST

Should be a GREAT game.

Chile plays an attacking game that is fun to watch.  Brazil is starting to click and play their "Jogo Bonito" style of passing plus individual skill.

Unless someone has a better idea, I thought we could have all game threads in this thread, except for the U.S.A. game which(former Razorbacks Club team player)Huckleberry Pig started.

Brazil scores early on a flick back header that appeared to by an own goal.

Chile ties it up, 1-1.

Brazil knocking at the door constantly, with sporadic counters by Chile.

If Brazil is going to stumble out of the gate(and maybe get knocked out), you would think this Chile team could do it.

Don't ever count out any team that can score goals and focuses on their attacking game.

What's up with Fred's porn mustache?

Yeah, Chile is hanging it with them, but Brazil so skilled and just now starting to hit their stride.

I love Chile's attacking style, but Brazil being eliminated at this point would really hurt the tournament IMO.

At least you got to see the first half! I joined in the second half. Pretty poor quality. Saw a stat that Brazil completed 68% of passes in regulation (or near the end of it). That was worst percentage in 50 years at the WC.

dj shanon "Notshavin" smeya

Losing Brazil would be disastrous at this point.  I think the riots/strikes by the Brazilian workers would start back up, and the interest overall would go down.

I'm usually for the underdog and Chile deserves a lot of credit, but I really hope Brazil pulls this one out.  Looks like its going to go to PK's.

Let's see if Forlan can fill Suarez' shoes.

You have to think that the Uruguayans are relieved that Suarez is back in Montevideo, and they can try to concentrate on soccer.  They are not a bad squad, but will have their hands full with Colombia who has looked as good as anyone in this World Cup.

Anytime bro.  I was trying to figure out the best way to list it, hope it wasn't too confusing.

Bottom line is Brazil's keeper Julio Cesar won it with 2 great saves, and Neymar did what he was supposed to which was put that last one in.  Chile's last PK went off the right post and behind Julio Cesar across the goal and barely stayed out.  Only missed it from going in by inches.

Mexico vs. The Netherlands 11:00 a.m. CST

Costa Rica vs. Greece 3:00 p.m. CST

My predictions:

El Tri makes a valiant effort, but just falls short 2-1.  Dos Santos scores for Mexico first, but then Van Persie and Robben each add a goal in the 2nd half.

Costa Rica sends Greece packing fairly easily, 3-0.

He was touched, yes.  He reacted like Johnny swept the leg.  Make up for the missed one in the first half.  So everything is balanced in the end.

Great match nonetheless.

The no-call in the first half was just as much of a penalty.
