Game 42 Thread: #24 Arkansas (25-16) vs. Northwestern State (22-17)

Poche is projected to be a 1st round pick next year by just about everybody because of his 3 pitch mix.  His control has been lacking, but he has also battled injuries which is tough for a pitcher who is expected to be a major contributor like Poche was.

I know, but DVH said the reason he has been struggling this year is because he has not been able to command anything other than his fastball. He said he doesn't have his 2nd or 3rd pitch to go to this year due to all of the arm issues he has had. He mentioned until he gets those pitches going he won't play much, if any on the weekend. Hopefully he can get healthy. I expect him to do big things in the future.

Well, the staff we had in 2013 was pretty much the same one we had in 2011 and 2012.  I agree that this pitching staff is something we will never have to worry about with those 2 and now Vitello who spend 8 years at Missouri as a pitching coach tutoring several current major leaguers including 2013 AL Cy Young winner Max Scherzer.
