Good stuff.  Saw this kid play in 9th grade.  Has all the tools to be a 5 star pocket passer if he chooses football over baseball.

JackJohnson

i would REALLY like to be the first BCS school to offer this kid...

I would think his relationship with the Lunneys would help us with him.

Hog fan since 1960. So thankful for Sam Pittman.

I mean, Lunney is a world-wide top five recruiter.  That's why I have so much faith that we'll land Gragg, Hill and O'Grady.

I was thinking more about Lunney working with him at BHS.  I'm not sure if the younger Lunney did work with him specifically, but you can bet his dad being Ford's head coach will be a leg up on everyone else.

Barry was the OC, but Kasey was in Jr High.

Good news is it's only APRIL and not February.

gmarv

yeah but with the classes bama has been getting even the coach who doesn,t recruit is in the top 10.

Wildhog

Hell, according to 24/7, Lunney is a better recruiter than Pittman.

Should tell you everything you need to know about these "rankings."

QuoteFord, who didn't throw an interception in the last nine games of the season while tossing 138 passes, has been invited to the Dallas Elite 11 Regional Quarterback Challenge May 4.

It will be interesting to see where this young man stands after that event.

And credits Bret Bielema.

Which takes nothing away from Lunney. I'd hope all recruits that commit credit Bielema, as he's the head coach.

I'm just saying...  Don't throw that in my face like it's some sort of validation.  Lunney is never even mentioned.

Lunney is better than Horton. That's for damn sure. That dude couldn't land a recruit if his life depended on it. Not to mention all the fumble issues we had when he was here.

Other than the fact that the article plainly states he's the kid's lead recruiter.

Yes, you're right.  Richard mentioned him.

I'm talking about the kid, who credited his commitment to his relationship with Bielema (which is awesome.)

Just seen you talk down Lunney quite a bit. He's the lead recruiter on a kid that lives in Oklahoma that's received an OU offer, yet remains solid to Arkansas.

Gragg has also stated his relationship with Lunney is A plus. He's(Lunney) not as bad as you make him out to be.

Razorhawg09

Lunney is the third best recruiter on the team ATM.

That's yet to be seen.

But I promise I'll own it if I'm proven wrong.

Yeah, the guys from the Miami area never credited the recruiter from that area.

Vantage 8 dude

There will (not surprisingly) still be those on here who will be wailing and pulling their beards (or other body parts) with the facts the Hogs weren't the first to offer. You know: the b.s. "reasoning" that states without a doubt the Hill  MUST MUST MUST be the first to offer, even an Arkansas kid, if they have ANY slender, tiny chance of the scholarship offer being accepted.

Man, the day's almost over, and I'm halfway checked out.  I'm assuming it's sarcastic, because they DID credit their area's recruiters.

I agree it is awesome. His relationship with Lunney, Sr and CBB, is the one thing you can hang your hat on will as the reason he eventually commits and then signs when the time comes.

For me a look for where the close relationship is...Most of the time it results in a commit. So we are i  good standing so far.

That is something we can all feel great about...

Build a relationship. It seems to start when the recruits are younger and younger.

We should have the inside track on Mr. Ford.
