Happy Easter everyone!  First pitch is set for around noon today.  Today's game will be televised nationally on ESPN.  The pitching match up in this rubber game pits two former summer league teammates.  For the Hogs, they will send Junior RHP Chris Oliver (4-3, 2.41 ERA) to the mound.  Oliver was a 29th round pick of the Baltimore Orioles in 2011 and is looking at being a 2nd-3rd round pick this June.  For the Commodores, they will send Sophomore RHP Tyler Ferguson (5-2, 2.88 ERA) to the mound.  Out of Clovis, California, Ferguson was a 40th round pick by the San Francisco Giants in 2012.  Should be a beautiful day for baseball at Baum Stadium.  I won't be able to do PBP today.

National audience.  Prime time to shine!  Vandy would love nothing more than to spoil this beautiful Easter Sunday.  Will be at the game and hoping to see the guy who always dresses like Jesus in the outfield on Easter Sunday home games.  He's quite entertaining!  Many know who I'm talking about.

Go hogs.

On a ball in the dirt, both runners move up although the ball was right at the catcher's feet

Serrano grounds to 3rd and Spoon is thrown out at the plate. For some reason Benintendi stayed at 2nd

What if he chews a Poptart into the shape of two men holding hands - or worse?

Anderson hit hard right in the head to load the bases. Very scary but he seems okay.

Ferguson won't make through the 3rd today.  May not even make it out of this inning.

We need to keep making this guy work and stop swing at the first pitch

Benintendi saw a very hittable pitch and put a charge into it, but it didn't find a gap.  Runner on 2nd with 2 outs should mean the hitter is aggressive especially on a pitch like Benintendi saw.

Only in the SEC will you find 2 Sunday starters facing each other that throw in the mid 90s with good offspeed.  Reason why offense in the SEC isn't as prolific as in other conferences.
