Meeting on the mound for the Commodores as the count is 3-0 on Bernal who is trying to give himself up.

ucahogfan

Bernal runs the count full, and he can't get the bunt down and strikes out.

I'd do the same. LaRussa's a nutjob and would probably throw at his head.
ETA: A bottle of wine, not a baseball.
ETA: Empty bottle, obviously.

I'm sorry, but that's unacceptable from Bernal. That's absurd.

I question the call from Van Horn, but man, get the bunt down earlier.

You absolutely have to question that decision by DVH
Nope.  Bernal should have gotten the bunt down.  He had two chances after letting a very buntable pitch go by on strike one.

Silly Vandy.
Rogers was out by so much that I thought it was a delayed steal, but it wasn't.

Silly Vandy, you don't run on Wise.

ucahogfan

Benintendi works the count full, and he grounds out 4-3 on a bang bang play.

ucahogfan

Serrano reaches on a swinging bunt about 30 feet down the 3B line.  A low throw by the P can't be dug out by the 1B.  E1.

Anderson works the count full, and he chases a bad ball in the dirt.  Serrano steals 2nd.  Serrano's 7th steal of the year.

He was taking all the way on strike one. This late in the game you've got to let him swing it with 2 strikes and down two.

Which DVH should have let him get the bunt down on strike 1 as he has good command of the zone.  Bernal is the 9 hole hitter and the best/hottest hitters in our lineup hit in the 2 and 3 hole right now.  Having a runner on 2nd with 1 out as the lineup turns over is better than having a runner on 1st with 1 out.

You don't bunt on a 3-0 count down two with only one runner on.  You just don't.  You make him throw a strike.  Yes, he had good command, but it's not like he meant to throw 3 straight balls to begin the at-bat.  It's very possible he could have thrown another one on the 3-0 pitch.

J-Dub is waaaay overdue to launch one this year. I am calling my One time here. :)

Ellison down swinging.  Stone's 1st K and 8th for Razorback pitching.
