Thursday's SEC/ESPN game of the week is #8 LSU at #12 Ole Miss and starts at 6:30pm on ESPNU.

I'm not sure who I want to win this series?

I won't be able to do the whole scoreboard thing this weekend.

Easy - Ole Miss.  I want Arkansas to have a chance to beat a top ten team next weekend.

Makes sense.

Ole Miss' RPI is #6 right now. Playing them on the road is actually a better chance for us to move up than it was against LSU and USCe. And, I like our chances of winning better.

Oh yeah - oops

So if we have played the toughest SEC schedule so far  and have played it almost at .500, which seems to merit a much better RPI than 74,  isn't  it  obvious that  we need to be scheduling better non conference games which includes getting the 5 SWAC games off the schedule.
To me those are nothing but a negative.

Yep, just need to replace those 5 games with 300 RPI's with 5 with 200.

I think they're the best team in the west. For some reason I just don't buy Alabama. Maybe it's because even when we were mired in a hitting slump we handled em pretty well after the Friday night game when they were allegedly stealing signs. Ole Miss is legit, though.

Me either.  Last weekend on the road against a struggling Mississippi State team was their first impressive series win in SEC play.  Outside of that, they swept both Mizzou and Auburn at home and got swept by Alabama and lost to South Carolina on the road.  If they beat LSU this weekend, I will be impressed then.

I really hope the Hogs win 5 of 6 games against Auburn and Mizzou, but will be happy with 4 wins.

Tennessee needs to start winning some conference games or they could be the team with the highest RPI in the country that doesn't make the NCAAT.

From a standpoint of us possibly jumping to the top of the west if we continue to play well

Just got in and saw where Miss St beat Missouri again, that doesn't help. We need to get a game ahead of MSU because they own the head to head tiebreaker.

A_R_K_A_N_S_A_S

Tenner beating Bama helps. Tennessee is really struggling and I didn't think they were going to win one against Bama. That puts us back to 3 games out.

If we are talking in terms of winning the SEC, you are correct. However, at this point, I don't see us winning the SEC.

However, in terms of RPI, MSU winning helps it at this point. Also, Tennessee beating Alabama hurts our RPI.

Yep still talking about winning or finishing high in the conference. Not giving up yet.

man, the SEC is beating the snot out of each other this year. No teams in a run away dominant situation, and no guaranteed cellar dwellers. A sweep in one of the next two series would do wonders for us.

I'm kinda thinking 4 games back at this point is going to be to difficult, with 12 games left. I may be way off, just guessing. We stayed in the race today, the way I see it.
