Game 34 Thread: #24 Arkansas (20-13) vs. #17 UNLV (23-9)

First pitch is set for 6:05 this evening.  Tonight is Bark in the Park.  Tonight's game will not be televised.  Arkansas is starting Freshman RHP Alex Phillips (2-0, 2.25 ERA).  UNLV will start Sophomore RHP Cody Roper (1-0, 1 S, 7.88 ERA).  The Hogs have had back to back solid offensive performances against good staffs so we need to hope that continues tonight, but more importantly, our pitchers throw strikes and our defense doesn't make mistakes.  I will not be able to do PBP tonight.

Just throw strikes. They're going to get some hits. Their leadoff guy was very good yesterday.


But we should put up some runs on a guy with a plus 7 ERA and I'd imagine they'll try and save pitching for their conference games this weekend.

Yes, It is their mid week guys, but they have a solid staff through their first 4 starters and then it drops off pretty fast. The pitcher we faced last night was pretty good and would be a weekend starter on many teams across the country.
