FWIW Philon is about 295 now and CBB said on signing day that Watts was around 275

Do you happen to have any rapping skills? I think we could set you up with DJ Khaled and you could make a song entitled, "All I Do Is Bitch"

I believe I heard that too. I was just gonna stick with what was posted on the roster for accuracy's sake. That would bump them over 301.63 Lbs per DT.

* To my understanding, Philon and Hodge are working with the 1st team right now.
* Arkadie has been a disappointment up until now. I hope he steps up his game, because they will need him this fall.
* Johnson is a "tweener", and is way too light to be effective at DT.
* I see Watts redshirting, so he can add 20-30 lbs of muscle to his 6'5" frame by 2015.
* I also see Jackson earning a starting job opposite Philon, early in the season, if not in pre-season drills this fall.
* I fully expect Philon to be 300 lbs. + by the start of fall camp, and I wouldn't be surprised to see Bijhon Jackson slim his 6'2" frame down from 335 to around 315 or so by Game 1.
* I think we will see, as the season goes along, a 4-man rotation at the two DT spots, with Philon and Jackson starting, while Hodge and Marks rotate in as backups.
* Either way, if Froholdt sticks to his committment, it will be difficult for the DT's on the team this year to keep their spots. Hjalte is a beast!
If it ain't broke, fix it till it is.

Philon most likely will play around 285-290. I've read elsewhere that he struggles and loses his quickness if he gets much higher than that.

Based on Bielema's comments the other day Wards future sounds to be in limbo because of injury.

I do agree that Jackson will be starting sinner rather than later.

Jackson does probably slim down a bit initially, but but I bet by the time he goes to the NFL, he's around 325+.

As for Philon, it's possible to be underweight in the NFL and still be a star at DT. You have to play in a 4-3 which limits the teams you play for, but if you are indeed explosive, you can play DT at 290 in the NFL.

I love how we have some real talent in the interior dline for the last 3-4 years.  It has been rare for us to have the beef in the interior to this degree.
Petrino left a mess and Bielema is trying to fill in the talent gaps.  Anderson finally has some talent to work with.  He needs more at select positions and that will come in the next recruiting class.
Posters that think they are Jim Rhome are ruining message boards.

Hodge is huge! Didn't realize he weighed 343 lbs. Is that still accurate?
