I have copied my reply to you so you could see how ludicrous and over the top your response is.

Notice I say I actually AGREE with a lot of what you are posting. I gave my opinion as to why one part of your post was flawed. I apologize for giving my opinion.

And what is it with me living in Chicago that bothers you? You have mentioned that several times.

Lets see....just today, you have called me a redneck, a hillbilly and told my I had a phone stuck up my posterior. Then you claimed I needed to respect you and all would be OK. and what great insult had I called you? A Chicago resident? I have fought the wars n hogville for many years and there are many longtime posters on here that dont agree with a word I say and I dont them....Tom, Wilsonhog, opine, Steef....but I respect the hell out of them and their opinion...I cant tell you how much Steefhog helped me during a rough stretch in my personal life, counseling me with kind words and faith...those dudes have earned my respect...an internet family so to speak. You continually tell me my opinions are flawed and then tell me to respect you...like you are the superior in this conversation...you want my respect, earn it....

As far as Chicago and you living there, hey, its your place...and I know it jerks your chain...but in a kindler, gentler porkrindjimmy, I refrain from name calling, out of respect for Lanny, Steef and hogville....

Then let me step forward and apologize to you for my comments. I will refrain in the future.

No if I had a choice I would be in Arkansas with season tickets. Yet my career doesn't allow it. But the main reason is one of the best specialists in the world is here and my wife needs his medical expertise. Family first.

You are right, family is first and I hope your wife is able to have a full recovery....

Oh no....it is still important....just not in the grand scheme of things, but still important.

Dreams are important in ones life. I am sure many have a dream about winning a natty in football. In the end, its why we are all hogville. Sure arguments ensue, but at the end of the day, we all would come together for a national championship. I want that feeling again that Nolan and his team gave me in 1994. As far as sports, it is the greatest feeling I have ever had as a Razorbacks fan. Holtz whipping Oklahoma in the 78 orange bowl was a unreal feeling for a 10 year old boy...but I want a Natty. My father, uncle and grandfather made me passionate about this program and I know sometimes my opinions may come across as being over the top, never doubt my upmost love and respect for this program and the players that come thru the program...

The 95 championship is why I am thankful for Hogville. I was working in Hong Kong during those days and sports was not easy to come by. Especially college sports. My wife, her sister, and I were in a department store. They were shopping for something, so I walked over to the electionics section. On one of the TVs was a basketball game. I did a double take to ensure I was actually seeing the Hogs. I watched about the last 2 minutes of the game.

I walked back to my wife and said you will never guess what I just saw - the Hogs won the national championship.

I will be in the seats the next time!  ;D

As an aside...do y'all know of someone who, if offered a raise, would say, "No, but thanks anyway?"

True, especially the size of his raises. Also the insinuation he used the job openings. Jeff Long was thrown into the light when the CBP issue hit the national media. The school is not stupid and realizes he is currently a hot commodity. They simply want, rightly so, stability within the athletic department. So if you want stability then you better ensure no one snatches Jeff Long.

I am not sure how many people on here realize how much he is admired nationally. Deserved or not deserved he is admired. Therefore it comes down to basic economics. When demand is high and supply is low - prices increase.
