I was at the rivercrest-ECS game last night as I am
A die hard colt, and was looking forward to watching their (ECS) guards
Unfortunately, they All played well especially Martin and robinson
Any insight on these kids? I've heard robinson should have some d1 attention maybe.

Do you happen to have any rapping skills? I think we could set you up with DJ Khaled and you could make a song entitled, "All I Do Is Bitch"

Yea its unfortunate they all played well since you were at the game last night.

Last I read about him was that he might have some d1 attention, and that could range anywhere from UTPA - Duke.

I watched Episcopal play at Benton Harmony Grove a few weeks back. I was there to watch HG because I had heard they were huge and boy were they. 6'10 Hogville legend Hayden Burchfield led the way at 6'10 300. Harmony Grove also had a kid 6'9, 6'5' and 6'3 on the starting line up. Unfortunately the 6'3 kid was the only one who could play basketball.

I said all that to say, Episcopal beat Harmony Grove handily and the 53 kid Martin was a decent ball player. Idk if he is D1 skilled or d1 athletic, but I certainly think he could be d2

Just got back from the 3A state championship game. Episcopal beat Ty Story's Charleston team 62-56. Episcopal got big games from Mahlon Martin and Allie Freeman Jr. Story played very well for Charleston though their best player was #23 who fouled out late. That was a big turning point. Very good game and very close until about a minute to play.

23 from Charleston was definitely the best player on the floor. Fouled out via questionable charge with 4 minutes to go. Charleston also missed about 7 consecutive free throws. Down the stretch. Very entertaining high school game

Id agree with that, his jumpshot is smooth as silk. Hated to see Robinson sit on bench so early when he caught fire early. Freeman needs to improve shot selection, just my two cents worth

I only remember 2 guards for Episcopal. I think they were number 2 and number 5. What number  are each of the aforementioned players?

Hogs.Alum82

Allie Freeman is #5
Mahlon Martin #2
Kelvin Robinson #1

Kelvin did not play much in the state final because of foul trouble, but was hot early.

If you attended the regional at Benton Harmony Grove, Allie Freeman was not able to play either of the games due to sickness.

Thanks Hogs.Alum for a very good, detailed summary.  +1.  Don't know why but I had thought Robinson was a Junior.  It's a very young group so they will likely be strong again next year.

The only things I'd mention are I don't think Freeman is 5'10".  He looks several inches shorter than anyone else on the court.  Another characteristic is he is a very streaky shooter.  One night he lights it up, the next night the shots don't drop.  And I was very impressed with his defense in the state championship game.  He played some really "in your face" defense but never drew a foul in what was a closely called game.

Like you I'm very impresed with Martin.  I hope he gets a chance to play somewhere at the collegiate level.
