HogsOfAnarchy

This kid wants to be a hog and that excites me. He's a good student and sound like a motivated athlete. There's a good article about him on 247. Says he has arkansas, ole miss, auburn and Alabama looking at him. He's another great prospect coming out of arkansas and I hope we offer soon and get him committed. Can u someone post a link to some of his highlights?

Razorhawg09

Seen him in person at sideline level. He's very small. He's probably 5th in the in-state WR pecking order behind Hill, Pettway, Stewart and his teammate Marshall.

RazorPiggie

If we offer it will more than likely be in December or January. Because if we do that means we missed out on all the other guys we were looking at and he's plan B or C.

#1 STUNNA

He has the talent but his size will probably keep him from getting offers that he deserves.

I'm sure we will be seeing his name in the Arkansas camps.

A couple people have said this.  So the 6', 175 is exaggerated?

5'10-5'11 170 is probably more the range.

MGB1229

Guy looks like he can pretty much do what he wants before and after the catch regardless of size. Not much they can do to you if they can't catch you.

RNHog

Bo has started since being a 9th grader. And has claimed he may be one of the best he has ever coached.

ChicoHog

remember Trindo Holliday from LSU?  He was really small, probably 5'7" and 170 at most.

RNHog

Yup. KOR specialist for the broncos.

Wow that's a really big difference, about one inch and five lbs.....Kid is screwed by Hogville!

flagstaffhog

Isn't Trindon Holliday the smallest player in the NFL right now?
Go HOGS Go!

FATHAWG08

We need SPEED!! SEC SPEED!! Don't get caught up in the measurements. If he is a football player with special speed we need him. Get him in open space does it matter if he is 5'11 if they can't catch him.Florida & LSU always have a couple of these type of players. Get him to the edge Touchdown! We lacked this the last 2 years.

I love off season Football!!

Sooie71923

Kenjon Barner, de Anthony Thomas, lamichael James, etc etc etc

All under 6 foot. All superstars.

Not telling me nothing I don't know. We need all the playmakers we can get up there. And he is one of them. Jarius wright was well under 6'0.

Not sure if you meant to post this link on the kid from catholic but Darevon is from Warren.

Hogwild06

Last time Arkansas got a small receiver from Warren he turned out to be one of the best receivers the hogs have ever had (Jarius Wright)

Yup. A lot of people said Jay was "too small".

Just like jay, a positive weight program is what he needs.

RNHog

FYI. Darveon scored 41 points in last nights basketball game.

Good catch, measurements were about the same as them were talking about. How about this one.

Those measurements are about right.

Currently, Jarius is listed as 5'10 180 on the Vikings roster. I guess he is too small too ha!

I love the "Well here is the best player ever at the same height and they turned out okay" argument.  Yes it means "there is a chance," but measurables are still the one thing you can't teach.  That said, I look forward to seeing how he does and camps and hope the offers start pouring in.

Seem some pretty good WRs in my time around Warren
Jay wright
Chris gragg
Greg childs
Bret smith
Roshaun fellows
Terrance Hampton
Etc.

This one has the makings of being big time.

secneahog

I think when people refer him to j wright it's only purpose is to say someone with the same stature can get it done in the Sec.

Same town...same Hs coach...If the Hs coach says he is a Jarius jr then he probably is.

We need a slot receiver in a big-time way...

Brown has the speed and moves to play SEC level.  The question is his hands.  Drops a lot of passes.  He really needs to clean that up this next year.  It is up to him to put in the weight training from now til fall if he wants the high level offers.  If not, he ends up at A State or UCA level.  Good kid and I hope he works on getting better.

I love it too.  I loved Jarius Wright and Joe Adams too.  The best two receivers ever at the U of A were under 6'.

Very inaccurate.

This is the thing that separates small guys in the SEC from the sunbelt.  Jarious has some of the best hands in college, and it's working well for him in the NFL.  Hopefully this kid can be that too, I honestly don't know.  Anyone remember jarious catch in te Tenner game behind the CB's back?

Yes at field level on the sideline.

Sorry. I see that earlier in the thread now. How about on the field play? You weren't that impressed seeing him in person?

razorbackfanatic

Holiday is more like 5'6" 165. A Reggie Fish size comparison but with much better speed.

razorbackfanatic

Actually just looked him up and Wikipedia has him as 5'5" 177. He was closer to 170 in college.

Yeah, size can be overcome with will power and determination. Speed too.

secneahog

If he's at 175 his senior year and puts down some good camp numbers why not take a chance on him.

His video he shows some good moves, gets up field very fast.
Would be nice to get to a point where we can rs some wrs.

I'm not worried if the kid will get to the nfl with his size. I want him to be able to help us win games.

He was good. I like Marshall better.

I really hope Jaylon Marshall attends camps. Hidden gem right there.

They are talking about Holliday being 5'5.

Darveon is in the 5'10-5'11 range.
