Updated: Duwop Mitchell is at WR and Derby is at TE (walkon, so not listed in scholarship list).

I am a Hog fan. I was long before my name was etched, twice, on the sidewalks on the Hill. I will be long after Sam Pittman and Eric Mussleman are coaches, and Hunter Yuracheck is AD. I am a Hog fan when we win, when we lose and when we don't play. I love hearing the UA band play the National Anthem on game day, but I sing along to the Alma Mater. Good catch. Heard CBB mention him finishing a degree - good for Fisher!

TQ Coleman to LB? Leaving him at safety as the coaches said he might do both.

What a waste. Never lived up to any potential. Guess it's hard with all the coaching changes, but figure that'd give him more of a chance to show out. Glad he got his degree though, that's more important than ever playing.

I think he basically quit the team.  He's still attending the University of Arkansas.

Agree.  And since he'll qualify for graduate school as a result of graduating this May, he can transfer to another FBS program and have two years of eligibility remaining (Redshirt Junior).

So far, the only Bielema "wastes" have been Melvinson Hartfield and Myke Tavarres.  Looking back on it, they could've recruited Malik Foreman instead of Melvinson Hartfield and Brandon King instead of Myke Tavarres.  These two could've helped our defensive backfield last season.

Malik Foreman: http://247sports.com/Player/Malik-Foreman-25560?Institution=20301

Brandon King: http://247sports.com/Player/Brandon-King-26173?Institution=23622

QB (3) BAllen, AAllen, Peavey
RB (6) Williams, Collins, Walker, Evans, Marshall, Day
FB (1) Arinze
OL (16) BCook, Skipper, Kirkland, Charpentier, Smothers, Danenhauer, Beck, Stringer, Boyd, Ollison, McClure, Koehler, Tretola, Jefferson, Ragnow, Wallace
TE (5) Henry, Sprinkle, Loewen, Voelzke, Krauss
WR (10) Hatcher, Cowan, Wilson, Morgan, Hawkins, DMitchell, Hollister, Cornelius, Robinson, Edwards

DT (8 ) - Philon, Hodge, Arkadie, Ward, Marks, Johnson, Jackson, Watts
DE (7) - Flowers, Kelly-Thomas, Wise, Lewis, Winston, Beanum, Hall, Brown
LB (10) - Ellis, Peters, BMitchell, Carr, Spaight, Brignoni, Ramsey, Williams, Eugene, Hackett
CB (8 ) -  Mitchel, Hines, Collins, Washington, Dean, Ramierz, Tolliver, Floyd
S (6) - Turner, Gaines, McKinney, Coleman, Coley, Liddell

Specialists (3) -Hedlund, D'Appollonio, Irwin-Hill
Defense (39)
Offense (41)
Total (85)

I am feeling better about LB after Josh Williams signed, because at the very least he can provide some serious depth.  One problem we had was Ellis, Peters, BMitchell, Carr, and Spaight did not provide a good rotation to keep LB's fresh last year when we played spread teams.   The LB's were fatigued and even more limited at covering their area with TE's and Backs.  I so hope that Mitchell, Spaight and Carr step up for the Senior years and provide that signature senior season by an unexpected player.

Corner was ravaged by injuries so we played lots of young players last year.  Corner is going to benefit from the number of young experienced players.  We should continue the progress because we will have Tevin Mitchel, Hines, Collins, Washington, and Dean to provide a very good rotation against the spread offenses.  Mitchell and Washington are seniors that will be dependable. Collins, Hines and Dean are young players that were tested in the fire last year.   It is also good to know that we have Collins, Hines and Dean to build upon for 2015.

Def line is a concern for depth at DT, but not at DE where we are loaded.  The DT talent is impressive- Philon and Hodge are PROVEN.  RS FR KMarks and incoming FReshmen Bijohn Jackson and AWatts are going to have to grow up quickly.  An injury here could hurt us worse than most think, but I think they plan on using DE Wise on the interior some to alleviate the depth.   OUR DE's will provide tremendous depth and fresh rotation for a VERY aggressive Defensive front.
Petrino left a mess and Bielema is trying to fill in the talent gaps.  Anderson finally has some talent to work with.  He needs more at select positions and that will come in the next recruiting class.
Posters that think they are Jim Rhome are ruining message boards.

If Murphy returns he is #85. If he indeed is gone look for AJ Derby to get that scholarship - a one year deal that opens it back up for the 2015 recruiting class.

Chris Jones is not on scholarship considering he was not invited as part of the 105 for camp and is not currently practicing with the team but is still on the team.  However, he wasn't on the roster given out to the media for the Media Day yesterday so he could possibly be looking elsewhere to play.  Surprising I know but he isn't on campus practicing.  And when have you heard of a scholarship player not be invited as part of the 105.

Whatever happens to Chris, whether he stays on the team or decides to transfer, I wish the best for him.  He is a wonderful human being and will always be a fan of his.

Thanks I couldn't remember about Tretola for sure that's great news!

Next years Oline could look like this:

LT JR Dan Skipper 6'10" 330
LG SR Sebastian Tretola 6'3" 325
C SO Frank Ragnow 6'6" 315
RG JR Denver Kirkland 6'5" 330
RT SO Brian Wallace 6'5" 320

That's with estimated weight gains or losses for some like Tretola!!

Maybe that, and we are thin at DT.

I understand. I am not worried about our two deep but an injury among one of those four could definitely be a blow to us.

* -  although Johnson is starting at NG right now, I do not think he will be able to take the pounding for an entire season that a NG takes. I fully expect true freshman Bijhon Jackson (6'2" 323 lbs. 5.1) to be the starter before the season is over.
If it ain't broke, fix it till it is.
