Rented a home on Mobile/Bon Secour Bay with a 300 foot pier and a dock at the end. Not a big fisherman but thought about taking a rod and reel and maybe do a little crabbing from the dock. Got any fishing tips for me?

TIA

Using squid, live or dead shrimp, or croakers you are bound to catch anything. Use artificials like a soft plastic shrimp on a jig head or a spec rig under the lights at night for your best shot at trout or reds.

Thanks. What about crabbing? Ever do any of that?

I've done a little. Lot of work picking and cleaning them.
Crab traps should be readily available at any bait shop in the area. Just about any kind of cut bait in the trap will do. Check it every couple hours.
