Trust me when I say that if Missouri hires Tim Floyd -- and its still not close yet -- it would scare a LOT of the coaches in the SEC.

In November 2012, Donnie Tyndall's So. Miss. beat UGa in Athens in OT and overcoming the home court FT attempt advantage that UGa enjoyed. It was Tyndall's second game as So. Miss.'s head coach.

So. Miss. had the best RPI of any team not invited to the NCAA-T but they did not pass the eye test.

No SEC school scheduled So. Miss. for '13-14.

Georgia hoops schedule may add yet another high-profile game next year, per Mark Fox. http://www.macon.com/2014/05/14/3098087/fox-leaning-towards-not-using.html ...

The Bulldogs are already set to host Seton Hall, Colorado and Mercer, and play at Kansas State, Georgia Tech, Chattanooga, as well as play in the Preseason NIT. While addressing the UGA Day crowd in Tifton, Fox mentioned the Preseason NIT then added: "We may have one more (tough) game before that we've yet to announce."

Georgia's non-conference performances the past two years has proved to be its undoing: 6-7 two years ago, 6-6 last year. This past year that non-conference performance was the undoing for what otherwise probably would have been an NCAA trip. This upcoming year, Fox has elected to keep the schedule relatively tough.

"We've always scheduled pretty tough, and we added more this year," Fox said. "But last year if Kentavious (Caldwell-Pope) comes back we don't have a slow start..."

A&M will try to their part to improve the SEC SOS a little bit:

KState and A&M took another step towards completing their respective non-conference slates on Friday, as it was announced that the former conference foes have agreed to a two-year series. The first game in the deal will be played in Kansas City on December 20, 2014. The return game will be played in College Station in December 2015.
